Doctor Bio
Dr. Wael Elmenawy is a Cataract & Glaucoma Consultant with over 20 years of experience. Dr. Wael started his career with Magrabi Hospital & Centres back in 2005 providing individualized care to patients with cataract and glaucoma. His surgical experience includes not only traditional cataract and glaucoma surgeries but also complicated cataract and glaucoma cases. He is also experienced in the most recent minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries and laser treatment of glaucoma. Dr. Wael has a long experience in the use of premium IOLs for cataract surgery both by phacoemulsification and laser assisted cataract surgeries.
He completed his MBBCh in Alexandria University in Egypt in 1995 followed by Masters in ophthalmology in the same university in 2001. He passed the exam of the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in 2005 and completed his Doctorate Degree in Ophthalmology in Alexandria University in 2014.
