Ahmed Naeim Elsheikh is a highly skilled vitreoretinal specialist with a rich background in ophthalmology. He graduated from Mansoura Medical School at Mansoura University in 1999. In 2002, he joined the Ophthalmology Department at Mansoura Ophthalmic Center, also part of Mansoura University, where he earned his Master’s degree in Ophthalmology in November 2005.

In 2006, Dr. Elsheikh embarked on his professional career at Magrabi Eye Centers and Hospitals in Saudi Arabia. His commitment to furthering his expertise led him to pass the International Council of Ophthalmology exam in 2010 and obtain a fellowship from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of Glasgow in 2011. He then completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Magrabi Eye Hospital in Jeddah.

With over 18 years of experience, Dr. Elsheikh has worked at various Magrabi locations, including Al Hassa, Jeddah, and Riyadh. In 2021, he moved to Magrabi Eye Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he continues his practice.

Throughout his career, Dr. Elsheikh has been an active participant in numerous local and international conferences. He has performed a wide array of retinal surgeries, tackling both simple and complex cases such as retinal detachment repair, diabetic vitrectomy, phacoemulsification, and intraocular lens implantation. His vast experience is further reflected in the thousands of ophthalmology patients he has examined and managed over the years.
